The Massage Table - Essential For A Great Massage
If you've ever thought about becoming a massage therapist, now is definitely the time to start. But understand there will be some start-up
costs to this business. A good massage table is one of those costs.
The massage business is growing like crazy, and it shows no signs of slowing down. The industry currently grosses billions of dollars each
year. Blame it on, or give credit to, our way of life. We live in a society and era filled with stress. It's no wonder the massage business is
growing, and it's no wonder so many are trying to cash in on this potential business goldmine by becomming a licensed masseuse. But unfortunately
it's not just the training and license you will need to pay for.
There is some standard gear you will need to get started. The massage table is essential. You'll also need a stool, a nice selection of
massage oils and massage creams, plus some nice bathrobes and towels. And that's just the basics. Finding a location, and making a relaxing
reception area are also important unless you plan to run your business based on home fronts.
But no matter how you will run your business, much of your success will be based on having a great massage table. Think about it for a second.
If you don't have a comfortable table, it won't be long before you don't have any customers. Basically you have two choices. If you plan on
making house calls, a collapsible or folding massage table is a must. This table should still be adjustable and be sure it has locking wheels so
you can maneuver it as needed and lock it when set. Other necessary features are side pockets for storage, and since you're going to have to
carry it, a shoulder strap.
If you're going to have a storefront, a stationary massage table is best for you. But stationary does not mean static. It should be adjustable
so you clients can get the most comfortable massage you can give.
Either way, comfort is the key to a great massage table.
